Dr. Rosenthal is an expert in reproductive ethics and women's health ethics, endocrine ethics, clinical ethics, and research ethics. Trained at the University of Toronto's Joint Center for Bioethics, she is currently Director of the University of Kentucky Program for Bioethics, and serves on the Endocrine Society's Ethics Advisory Board. She is the author of several peer-reviewed publications, and over 30 consumer health books, including books on diabetes, thyroid disease and a range of women's health issues.
She has been quoted by the science and health media such as Discover Magazine and CNN; she has appeared on popular shows such as Dr. Phil, and has done over 500 media interviews across North America. Dr. Rosenthal has provided commentary on controversial cases such as Terri Schiavo and the California Octuplets, as well as "hot topics" in women's health issues such as the ethics of bioidentical hormones.

In the scholarly world, Dr. Rosenthal has delivered over 70 ethics presentations nationally and internationally, and is also Ethics Co-Director, Center for Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Kentucky.
